WWE has now officially announced a steel cage match for the August 2 and 3 SummerSlam premium live event at MetLife Stadium. Bac...
Back at WrestleMania, one of the title changes at that event saw Jacob Fatu win the United States Championship from LA Knight.
However, it wasn’t long before Solo Sikoa turned on Fatu, leading to Sikoa winning the title at Night of Champions with help from JC Mateo, Tonga Loa and Talla Tonga.
Tonight’s July 18 episode of WWE SmackDown opened with Sikoa, Mateo, Loa and Tonga seemingly having been involved in a car accident, perpetrated by someone else, with the police naming Jacob Fatu as a suspect.
With Sikoa and his group in the ring accusing Fatu, the police returned to the arena and let Fatu out of their car, telling him he was in fact not involved, and he was free to leave.
Fatu then headed to the ring to confront Sikoa and co, with Fatu and Jimmy Uso initiating a brawl.
Adam Pearce soon came out and made an announcement – if Sikoa wanted to have Fatu locked up, he’ll get exactly that at WWE SummerSlam in a steel cage match for Sikoa’s US Title.
The police then came out and put Sikoa himself in handcuffs for the trouble he’d caused.
