Plans for Roman Reigns on the upcoming July 21 episode of WWE Raw in Houston, Texas have been officially confirmed. On the July ...
On the July 14 episode earlier this week, Reigns made his first appearance since the post-WrestleMania episode of Raw in April, saving Jey Uso and CM Punk from Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
The aforementioned post-Mania Raw saw Reigns and Punk laid out by the then-brand-new alliance of Breakker and Seth Rollins.
With Rollins seemingly off SummerSlam due to injury, and Punk earning a World Heavyweight Championship match against GUNTHER, Reigns’ return set up a Reigns & Uso vs Breakker & Reed situation.
However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, plans for SummerSlam as of a couple of weeks ago had Reigns vs Breakker in a singles match, with Uso vs Reed in a separate singles match, as opposed to a tag match.
With Rollins, Breakker and Reed having Paul Heyman in their corner, and given Heyman’s history with Roman Reigns, that opens up an interesting dynamic that will seemingly be explored on Raw.
WWE has announced the lineup for Raw on Monday, which includes Reigns addressing Heyman.
Reigns is also set to appear on Raw the following week, which is the last episode before SummerSlam.
The announced lineup for the July 21 Raw so far is as follows:
Roman Reigns to address Paul Heyman
New Day vs. Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde vs. Creed Brothers – World Tag Team Championship #1 contenders match
Sami Zayn vs. Karrion Kross
CM Punk to address his SummerSlam match against GUNTHER
Sheamus vs. Rusev
Becky Lynch has a “SummerSlam proposal” for Lyra Valkyria
