Mr. Mayhem quickly caught the audience's attention with his imposing physical stature in the Jacksonville-based promotion. However, injuries remained a constant in his promising career. Wardlow suffered an injury in a match against Samoa Joe on the March 13, 2024, episode of Dynamite. He returned to align himself with The Don Callis Family for one night only. Following that, he was reported to have been sidelined again with an injury.
Amid his months-long hiatus from AEW, Wardlow made a major announcement in an Instagram video. The former TNT Champion revealed he would be part of American Gladiators as FANG, which is set to debut on Amazon Prime on April 17. He expressed his excitement, as he had been a fan of the show.

Bully Ray believes Wardlow should join WWE like former AEW star
Much like Wardlow, former AEW star Powerhouse Hobbs got major attention as a rising wrestler. However, he left Tony Khan's company and signed with WWE, making his debut at the 2026 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said that Wardlow should follow in his footsteps and join WWE in the future.
"I hope Powerhouse Hobbs is running, and running fast. And I hope Wardlow is right behind him. Powerhouse Hobbs looks the part. There's so much upside to Powerhouse Hobbs, and maybe he can't talk, I don't know. I haven't heard enough from Powerhouse Hobbs. But even if he can't, you put him with a manager. You do something.
